β Best Practices for Accurate Tracking
To get the most reliable data from your new devices, consistency is key. Follow these simple guidelines:
When to Weigh Yourself
Frequency: Once a day, first thing in the morning.
Condition: After using the restroom, but before eating or drinking anything.
Clothing: Wear as little clothing as possible.
When to Take Blood Pressure
Timing: Same time each day (ideally morning).
Preparation: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
Posture: Keep your feet flat on the floor and your arm resting on a surface at heart level.
Mindset
Don't obsess over daily numbers. Weight and BP fluctuate based on hydration, salt, and stress.
Focus on the trend. Look at the weekly and monthly averages rather than a single high or low reading.
