Device & Wearable Data: Metrics synced from third-party devices such as Oura, Withings, Apple Watch, or other wearables.
Marketing & Contact Data: Your email or phone number when you opt in to receive updates, newsletters, or offers.
SMS Consent Data: Your mobile phone number and opt-in status when you choose to receive text messages from us.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
Deliver services you request (labs, telehealth consultations, prescription fulfillment).
Display results and scoring in your dashboard.
Process payments and manage subscriptions.
Communicate about your account or services.
Send optional marketing communications via email or SMS (only if you consent).
Send operational updates and reminders related to your subscription, appointments, or device connections.
We do not send or store protected health information (PHI) via SMS or other unencrypted channels.
4. Partners Who Receive Your Data
We share your information only with trusted partners necessary to deliver care:
Quest Diagnostics – processes laboratory tests.
Junction Health (Vital) – orders labs and integrates device data.
TelegraMD – provides telehealth consultations and prescribing.
Southend Pharmacy – dispenses prescription medications.
We also use HIPAA-compliant technology vendors (such as secure hosting, databases, messaging, and video platforms) to operate our platform. These vendors sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) to ensure compliance.
We may use third-party marketing tools (e.g., Klaviyo) to send newsletters, SMS reminders, or promotions. These tools do not receive PHI. Only your name, email, phone number, and marketing preferences are shared.
5. SMS Communications
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive text messages, you consent to receive SMS communications from Outlive Biology related to your account, onboarding, appointments, and subscription updates.
Purpose of Messages: Messages may include reminders, confirmations, and notifications about your membership or account activity.
No PHI: We do not include medical results, diagnoses, or prescription details in SMS communications.
Frequency: Message frequency may vary depending on your activity within the platform.
Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or contacting support@outlive.bio. After opting out, you may still receive essential account or legal notices by email.
Data & Fees: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.
Third-Party Providers: We use messaging partners such as Klaviyo, Inc. to manage SMS delivery. These providers process message data solely to support Outlive’s communications and are contractually prohibited from using it for other purposes.
Security: SMS is not a fully secure medium. Please avoid sharing sensitive health or financial information via text.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access and request a copy of your health information.
Request corrections to your records.
Limit certain uses or disclosures of your PHI.
Withdraw consent for marketing or SMS communications at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in emails or replying “STOP” to text messages.
